Aaah it's a scary tiger!
for this jungle cat pupils used basic shapes to create the form of the tiger face. Pupils could create the scary expression using angled eyes and sharp eyebrow lines. Pupils then mixed their own orange and brown to paint their tigers. This reinforced what we learnt about colour mixing last week. Finally, pupils cut and glued leaves round their tiger heads. This week we are mixing our own colours. We worked together step by step to create each colour. I designed the fruit bowl exercise to ensure that pupils can mix all secondary colours.
We used a mixing colour chart on the wall as well as a reference, and now the pupils always refer to it to mix their own colours.
